half way

dear faithful blog readers, I’m sorry that I’ve been so slack about blogging lately. Things have been pretty steady around here, so there hasn’t been too much to report. I’m just working on living in the moment and enjoying my time in suubi village.

There are several things of note though: They did recently add a bunch of babies to our baby home to open space in another baby home. It has brought more chaos J The ‘giraffe’ room that I’m in holds the youngest babies with developmental ages between 4-9mo. We had 20 in that room a week ago, we now have 33!! It’s super busy, but it gives us plenty to do J The entire suubi baby home now has 117 kiddos with a capacity for 120. God has been blessing this place, that is for sure.

As a fun diversion away from the suubi baby fun, I went to the equator last weekend. It was a fun little trip with some of the other volunteer girls. While we were there we ate at a cute little restaurant and …… I got to ride a camel!!!!!! Haha. Such a fun adventure J

Finally, after much prayer, I feel that God has finally given me direction about my future. In February, I will be moving to San Bernardino, California to start a one year residency program in ob/gyn. There, I will be trained in delivering babies, c-sections, other surgeries, ultrasound, etc. I am excited to see how God is going to grow and develop me on this new adventure!! This being said, I will be coming back to the US right before Christmas so I can transition and have some quality time with the family. I would also like to visit you!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let me know when you are free friends and I can set up a date ;)
